Job Description

The Maths-cum-Science Teacher will be responsible for teaching foundational Mathematics and Science concepts to primary school students in an engaging, student-centric manner. The role includes lesson planning, classroom management, activity-based learning, and continuous assessment to support students' academic and holistic development.
Teaching & Learning
Deliver Mathematics and Science lessons for primary grades in alignment with the school curriculum (CBSE Board).
Use activity-based, experiential, and inquiry-driven teaching methods.
Develop age-appropriate lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and teaching-learning materials.
Ensure conceptual clarity and support students with different learning abilities.
Classroom Management
Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Use effective behaviour management techniques to ensure productive learning.
Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving in students.
Assessment & Evaluation
Conduct regular assessments, grade students' work, and share feedback with students and parents.
Track student progress and implement remedial or enrichment programs when needed.
Communication & Collaboration
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
Collaborate with other teachers and coordinators for planning and school events.
Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and professional development workshops.
Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and lesson plans.
Support school events, celebrations, competitions, and field trips.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Science/Mathematics
B.Ed. (preferred or as per board requirement).
Experience
1-3 years of teaching experience at the primary level
Skills & Competencies
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and Science.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Creative, patient, and passionate about teaching young learners.
Ability to integrate technology and modern teaching tools.
Good planning, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
