Job Summary:

We are looking for a

highly skilled and passionate Female Virtual Maths Tutor

to work with a 13?15-year-old child based in London. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the

UK National Curriculum

, with at least 3 years of teaching experience in maths. The tutor should be proficient in working with children, ensuring that lessons are engaging, structured, and tailored to the individual student's needs. This position requires a tutor who can effectively handle a curious and motivated student, ensuring the lessons are both challenging and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Virtual Lessons:

Provide structured, interactive, and effective online maths lessons three times a week, focusing on the UK National Curriculum for student aged 13?15.

Assess and Track Progress:

Assess the student's strengths and weaknesses and develop an individualized learning plan. Regularly monitor progress, reassess learning goals, and adjust teaching methods accordingly.

Engage with Student:

Ensure lessons are engaging and tailored to the student's pace, challenging them when needed and providing extra support when they face difficulties.

Provide Homework and Feedback:

Assign and review homework or independent tasks. Provide constructive feedback and support the student in areas where they need improvement.

Collaboration with Parents:

Maintain open communication with parents to track the student's progress and discuss any concerns or adjustments.

Ensure Lesson Quality:

Keep online lessons interactive, focused, and productive within the 60-minute session window. Use various teaching methods to reinforce learning and make lessons fun.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in

Maths

, with specific expertise in the

UK National Curriculum

(Key Stage 3/4).

Proven Track Record:

Experience in helping students advance beyond their current grade level, especially in maths, and the ability to manage the learning process for bright and motivated students.

Proficiency in English:

Excellent spoken and written English communication skills are essential. The tutor must be able to explain complex mathematical concepts in an accessible and engaging way.

Child-Centric Approach:

Demonstrated experience in managing kids of the 13?15-year age group, adapting lessons to both challenge and support them.

Technical Skills:

Experience with online tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams) and interactive tools (such as whiteboards, quizzes, or shared documents).

Immediate Availability:

The tutor should be available to start immediately and be comfortable working as per UK timings.

Female Tutor Requirement:

Only female applicants will be considered for this position.

Additional Expectations:

Screening & Assessment:

After an initial screening interview, there will be a brief assessment to evaluate the tutor's competency. Following this, a final interview will be scheduled.
