Job Title: Mathematics Teacher (HL & SL) for Diploma Programme (DP)

Job Summary:
The Mathematics Teacher (HL & SL) for the Diploma Programme (DP) will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in both Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL) mathematics courses. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the IB curriculum, strong pedagogical skills, and a passion for fostering a positive learning environment. This role requires a commitment to developing students\' critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a love for mathematics.
Key Responsibilities: * Instruction and Curriculum Delivery:

• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons for HL and SL mathematics courses in the IB Diploma Programme.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the IB curriculum and educational standards.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Assessment and Evaluation:

• Design and administer formative and summative assessments that accurately measure student understanding and progress.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their performance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student achievements and progress.
• Student Support and Engagement:

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Provide individual support and guidance to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
• Organize and facilitate extracurricular activities related to mathematics, such as math clubs or competitions.
• Collaboration and Professional Development:

• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
• Participate in department meetings, curriculum planning, and school-wide initiatives.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with IB standards and educational best practices.
• Communication and Outreach:

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and any concerns.
• Prepare and present reports on student performance and progress as required.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events to build strong relationships within the school community.
• Compliance and Standards:

• Ensure all teaching practices comply with the schools policies and IB standards.
• Prepare students thoroughly for the IB examinations, ensuring they understand the format and expectations.
• Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of student information and assessment materials.

• Masters degree in mathematics or a related field
• Teaching certification or qualification, preferably with a focus on secondary education.
• Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, preferably within an IB World School.
• Deep understanding of the IB Diploma Programme curriculum and assessment criteria for HL and SL mathematics.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
