Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons aligned with the primary curriculum Teach number, measurement, geometry, data handling, and problem-solving skills Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners Differentiate lessons for students with different abilities and learning styles Assess, record, and report on students' progress regularly Use assessment data to inform lesson planning and improve student outcomes Provide timely and constructive feedback to students Identify students who need additional support and provide appropriate interventions Encourage critical thinking, reasoning, and mathematical discussion in the classroom Create a safe, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment Use hands-on resources, games, and technology to support learning Promote positive behaviour and student engagement Support students' confidence and enjoyment of mathematics Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about student progress and needs Maintain accurate student records and documentation Collaborate with other teachers in planning and moderation Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures, and curriculum guidelines Support whole-school initiatives and events Continuously reflect on teaching practice to improve effectiveness
