Assists with the movement of the materials through the production cycle and manages the production requisitions.
Job Requirements
Ensuring safety and health practices, maintaining clean work areas, checking compliance with the regulatory EHS standards, and reporting it to the supervisors.
Scheduling, controlling the release of materials, monitoring material inventory in the plant and warehouse, and managing critical suppliers and stakeholders.
Developing and executing material planning for a product line and ensuring that all material requirements for assigned programs are satisfied within the allocated time frame.
Coordinating flow of materials within the manufacturing facility and transfer of materials to and from inventory or warehouse.
Roles & Responsibilities
Plan and execute intercompany purchase orders from internal manufacturing plants based on demand, backlog, and inventory targets
Release and manage third?party purchase orders in alignment with sourcing and replenishment plans
Ensure timely delivery releases to manufacturing plants and suppliers to meet customer and DC requirements
Monitor and manage daily backlog, prioritizing critical customer orders and supply gaps
Interact daily with manufacturing plant planners to align production schedules, shipment priorities, and committed delivery dates
Communicate backlog priorities, allocation decisions, and demand changes impacting plant supply
Coordinate with third?party vendors on order confirmations, reschedules, and quantity changes
Track inbound shipments from plants and external suppliers through transit and receiving
Work closely with Inbound Warehouse (WH) teams to ensure timely unloading, GR posting, and discrepancy resolution
Address shortages, damages, delays, or documentation issues impacting inbound receipts
Support inbound slotting and receiving prioritization for backlog and critical orders
Manage inventory availability to meet service levels while minimizing excess and aging stock
Support Customer Support / Customer Service teams with supply status, delivery commitments, and recovery plans
Provide regular updates on backlog drivers, recovery actions, and supply risks
Coordinate credit/debit notes and billing adjustments as required
Execute planning, purchasing, and tracking activities in ERP systems (e.g., SAP MM / S4HANA)
Maintain accurate master data for lead times, pricing, MOQ, and delivery parameters
Prepare daily and weekly reports on backlog, inbound status, inventory health, and billing issues
Identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy, inbound execution, and backlog reduction
Desired Candidate
Education: Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Diploma, Engineering, Commerce, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in material planning, intercompany purchasing, or DC supply planning
Strong experience interacting with manufacturing plants, warehouses, and finance teams
Working knowledge of intercompany processes, inbound logistics, and billing flows
Hands?on ERP experience (SAP preferred)
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting
