Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Material Quote Senior Engineer in Chennai, India
What a typical day looks like:Analyze customer RFQ and technical documents to extract relevant quote data Read and interpret Gerber files, Fab drawing , BOMS (bill of materials) and assembly drawings Analysis of PCB stack up, material , surface finishing , PCB process and manufacturing tolerances Calculate should cost of materials, fabrication and assembly. Optimize panelization and process flows to reduce costs. Work closely with global commodity team to align suppliers with project requirements. Work with suppliers to ensure accurate quote and competitive pricing to support winning opportunities. Communicate lead time, pricing and technical queries to internal teams and customer

The experience we're looking to add to our team:Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field Experience in PCB manufacturing, assembly processes, or electronic component sourcing with minimum 5-7 years working experience. Knowledge of PCB stack up, material, surface finishing etc and PCB process and manufacturing tolerances. Ability to read and interpret Gerber files, Fab drawing, BOMS (bill of materials) and assembly drawings Understanding of yield, panelization and how they impact cost Knowledgeable about supplier's technological capabilities and pricing advantages, Understand of material cost trends, including copper, gold and laminate etc and other key raw material used in PCB fabrication. Strong attend to detail and analytical thinking Good communication skills for interacting with sales teams, engineers and suppliers. Time management and ability to handle multiple RFQ simultaneously
