The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, moving, storing, and supplying materials, components, and finished goods (such as modular kitchen panels, wardrobe shutters, hardware, and accessories) within the warehouse and to the dispatch area, ensuring accuracy, safety, and timely flow of materials.
Key Responsibilities:Material Movement & Handling
Unload, move, and stack raw materials, components, and finished products safely.
Supply materials from storage to production/packing/dispatch area as per requirements.
Operate manual
Inventory Management
Maintain proper storage of materials in racks, bins, or designated areas.
Assist in periodic stock audits and cycle counts.
Order Fulfillment Support
Pick required materials for modular kitchens & wardrobes as per pick list.
Ensure correct items and quantities are issued/loaded for dispatch.
Assist packing team in moving heavy panels, glass shutters, and hardware safely.
Quality & Safety
Inspect materials for damages before moving.
Follow safe lifting and handling practices for boards, glass, and hardware.
Maintain housekeeping in storage and movement areas.
Adhere to company safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Skills & Competencies:
Knowledge of basic warehouse operations.
Physically fit, able to lift and move panels, shutters, and accessories.
Ability to read order sheets and material codes.
Team player with time management skills.
Forklift/stacker operation knowledge (if applicable).
Qualification & Experience:
Minimum 10th/12th pass.
1-2 years' experience in warehouse/material handling (preferably in modular furniture or manufacturing industry).
Training in warehouse safety & handling preferred.
Work Conditions:
Working in warehouse/production floor environment.
Handling of heavy and delicate items (wood panels, glass, hardware).
Shift timings as per company schedule.
