To design, deliver, monitor, and continuously improve training programs. To build the capacity of trainers/facilitators, ensure training quality, align training content with organizational and industry needs, and contribute to better performance, learning outcomes, or productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Develop training content, curricula, modules, and instructional materials tailored to target audience(s).
Lead the design and delivery of training sessions (classroom, virtual, on?the?job), using interactive, participative, experiential learning methods.
Mentor, coach, and upskill a team of trainers / facilitators; ensure consistency & high?quality delivery across trainers.
Conduct Training Needs Assessments (TNAs) to identify skill gaps and adjust training programs accordingly.
Monitor & evaluate training effectiveness; gather feedback from participants, analyze learning outcomes, and refine content and methods.
Ensure that training is aligned with relevant industry standards / organizational goals / compliance requirements.
Maintain training documentation - schedules, records, attendance, training evaluations, reports.
Manage logistics for training programs - scheduling, venues, materials, technology, etc.
Liaise with stakeholders (internal teams, subject matter experts, external experts) to ensure relevance & accuracy.
Ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs) related to training (engagement, knowledge retention, application) are met.
Where relevant: travel to training locations / field sites, supervise field?based trainers, conduct site audits.
Continue professional development: stay up?to?date with learning methodologies, tools, technologies & best practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Social Sciences, Engineering, or relevant field. Master's preferred, depending on level.
Experience: Minimum X years (often 3?7 years) in training / learning & development, with exposure to designing and delivering training. At least some experience with leadership/mentoring of trainers.
Domain knowledge: Relevant subject matter expertise (skills training, technical, sales, soft skills etc.).
Excellent communication & presentation skills.
Strong facilitation skills, ability to engage diverse audiences.
Proficiency with training tools & technologies (e.g. LMS, virtual platforms, e?learning tools).
Good planning, organizational skills & ability to manage multiple training projects.
Analytical mindset - able to interpret evaluation data and adjust training accordingly.
Soft skills: Leadership, interpersonal skills, patience, adaptability, problem solving.
Computer literacy: MS Office, possibly specialized tools (video editing, content development, etc.).
