JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the workflow through the life cycle of Income processing for Fixed Income, Equities and Prime Brokerage
  • Operational management and control of the daily workflow within the Asset Services team
  • Develop and execute business plan for Income team including location strategy and system implementation and ensure all operating controls are effectively managed and enhanced with the changing landscape of a global operating model
  • Ensure all daily controls and processing are completed and signed off, including client service inquiry resolution, cash and stock break, and event management, as well as all key metrics are produced as required
  • Act as the escalation contact for internal teams within Securities Operations team, Front Office, Product Controllers, Technology groups apart from facing off to counterparties, Depositories and 3rd party vendor coverage
  • Ensure all team members adhere to global escalation policies, maintain up to date awareness and adherence to policies and procedures, attest to operational procedures at required intervals and actively comply with ethics and behavior standards
  • Work on projects as required by industry mandate, process improvement plans, client requirements
  • Provide direction and leadership to the team and provide effective communications to the department, ensuring staff are aware of strategic and regulatory changes in the organization
  • Continued review of content and presentation of Standard Operating Procedures, in line with new policies and ongoing risk management activities and contribute to the strategic development of asset servicing products
  • Has to be extremely client-focused and result-oriented in approach.
    • Host Review meetings with the client(s) & drive improvement/ efficiency opportunities.
    • Strong business communication skills both verbal and written and requirement to interact with counterparties
  • Publishing / Review of Daily/weekly performance metrics pertaining to the function and to identify and track reasons for deviation from agreed levels or expected behavior.
  • Track record of working in a changing environment with the experience of learning, documenting and implementing new processes efficiently
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts related to KPIs, service performance, operating controls and ensure team accurately meets all market deadlines and client SLA
  • Ideas for process improvement and partner with internal stakeholders to closure
  • Drive consistency of process / functions in partnership with the Global Asset Servicing team
  • Strong time management skills required to meet the internal and external deadlines/cutoffs
  • Coach, mentor, and lead staff ensuring all standard operating procedures and controls are followed and department deadlines are met and engage LEAN and other process improvement methods to reengineer functions with the goal of enhancing service and reducing operating spend
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
  • Graduate or Post Graduate having 12+ years of experience in Banking and Financial Services/ Treasury environment/ Asset servicing.
  • Minimal 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of people management with proven track record of managing seniority
  • Flexibility to work in shifts as per business requirement
  • Strong risk and control awareness and ability to implement mitigating controls
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workloads and work to critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality
  • Exceptional problem / issue resolution skills
  • Interact with client / counterparties on a regular basis to resolve transaction experience
  • Strong Change management orientation coupled with innovation and process improvement focus
  • Relationship building skills, strong ability to develop partnerships with global teams
  • Successful performance in a risk based environment with a proven track record of risk reduction.
  • Demonstrated understanding of global markets, legislative framework, and industry trends
  • Ability to influence across business lines, cultures and various functions globally
  • Results based experience demonstrating strategic and analytical thinking with proven ability to improve processes and reduce cost by optimizing operational capabilities
  • Track record of working in a changing environment with the experience of learning, documenting and implementing new processes efficiently
  • Display high levels of integrity; operate on the basis of open and honest interaction, enthusiastic, highly motivated and effective under tight time frames and pressure.
  • Demonstrate experience of multi-tasking and effective time management with attention to detail in a fast paced environment and experience of effective communication both oral and written to management, clients and colleagues
  • Must have good knowledge of Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word
