A MARKETING & SALES STATE HEAD (MP) - TMT job description involves a senior role responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the market presence for TMT steel bars across the state of Madhya Pradesh. The incumbent is generally expected to manage a large sales force, cultivate dealer networks, and develop strategic marketing plans.
Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Design and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy that expands the company's customer base and ensures a strong presence in the Madhya Pradesh TMT market.
  • Sales & Distribution Management: Oversee the entire sales cycle, coordinating with dealers and distributors, and expanding the retail and channel partner network. This includes managing the distribution network across various districts.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the state's sales and marketing teams, including performance management, team building, and day-to-day activity reviews.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new selling possibilities, evaluate customer needs, spot emerging markets, and monitor competitor status.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and handling complaints or objections effectively.
  • Target Achievement: Take responsibility for achieving monthly/annual sales targets and maintaining shipment schedules by coordinating with internal teams and transporters.
  • Brand Promotion: Coordinate advertisement and promotional activities between the head office and the local marketing team to boost brand awareness.
  • Reporting: Prepare appropriate business presentations on products and services and provide regular updates and reports to the Head Office/HOD.
Typical Requirements
  • Experience: Significant experience (typically 12-15+ years) in sales and marketing within the steel industry, specifically TMT bars or a related field like grey cement, with a proven track record of handling a large volume portfolio and managing extensive dealer networks.
  • Education: A graduate degree, with an MBA in Marketing or a related field often preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and strategic thinking skills. Must be familiar with B2B and B2C channels, dealer development, and channel sales management.
