Job Summary

The Marketing & Proposal Engineer is responsible for preparing techno-commercial proposals for conveyor and material handling projects, supporting sales and marketing activities, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate costing and timely submission of proposals.

Key Responsibilities

Study customer RFQs, specifications, and layouts related to conveyor systems Prepare technical proposals, BOQs, and cost estimates for conveyor projects Coordinate with design, project, procurement, and production teams for inputs Develop GA concepts and basic layouts in coordination with engineering teams Prepare commercial offers, scope of supply, exclusions, and assumptions Support marketing and sales teams during client meetings and technical discussions Handle pre-bid and post-bid clarifications with customers Maintain proposal records, costing sheets, and version control Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer requirements Assist in order handover to the project execution team
Technical Skills & Knowledge

Strong understanding of conveyor systems (belt, roller, chain, overhead, etc.) Ability to interpret customer layouts, technical specifications, and RFQs Knowledge of costing, estimation, and basic engineering concepts Familiarity with AutoCAD (basic) and Excel for BOQs and costing Understanding of material handling industry standards
Qualifications

Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline 3-5 years of experience in marketing, proposal, or estimation roles in conveyor or material handling industry
Preferred Skills

Good communication and presentation skills Strong coordination and documentation abilities Commercial awareness and negotiation support skills Ability to work under tight deadlines and multiple bids
