Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary
Marketing Manager
who will
set up and lead our first dedicated Marketing Department
. This is a transformative role designed for a dynamic professional who can build systems, processes, and strategies from the ground up.
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating a
cohesive brand identity
, driving
strategic marketing campaigns
(digital and offline), and ensuring consistent and compelling communication with all stakeholders -- prospective and current parents, students, faculty, alumni, and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities1. Build & Lead the Marketing Function
? Establish the
school's first marketing department
, identifying needs and hiring 1-2 junior staff members or interns as required.
? Create clear workflows, reporting structures, and approval processes for all marketing activities.
? Develop and implement a
marketing calendar
for the academic year to ensure consistency and alignment with school events and admissions cycles.
2. Branding & Visual Identity
? Conduct a
brand discovery exercise
to define the school's unique identity, mission, values, and USP.
? Enhance brand guidelines, including logo usage, color palettes, typography, visual tone, and storytelling approach.
? Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints -- print, digital, outdoor signage, uniforms, brochures, and event materials.
3. Digital Presence & Storytelling
? Oversee the
redesign and upkeep of the school website
to ensure it's user-friendly, mobile-responsive, SEO-optimized, and aligned with brand messaging.
? Develop and execute a
comprehensive social media strategy
for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube to showcase daily school life, student success stories, faculty highlights, and campus events.
? Introduce
video marketing initiatives
like virtual school tours, "day-in-the-life" series, teacher spotlights, alumni stories, and event highlights.
4. Community Engagement & Reputation Building
? Launch programs to enhance parent and alumni involvement (e.g., parent ambassador programs, alumni spotlights, community service campaigns).
? Build relationships with local media, NGOs, and businesses for collaborative events, sponsorships, and coverage.
? Actively manage the school's
online reputation
(Google reviews, testimonials, etc.), ensuring timely and professional responses to feedback.
5. Admissions Marketing & Content Strategy
? Partner with the admissions team to craft targeted campaigns that
drive inquiries and conversions
during enrollment seasons.
? Implement
email marketing campaigns
and newsletters to nurture prospective parents and maintain strong communication with current families.
? Develop brochures, prospectuses, and other collateral that clearly communicate the school's offerings and achievements.
6. Event Marketing
? Strategically promote key school events (sports days, annual functions, community fairs, competitions) through digital and offline channels.
? Coordinate event coverage with high-quality photography and videography to create marketing assets for future use.
7. Analytics & Continuous Improvement
? Set up systems to track
KPIs
such as website traffic, inquiries, social media engagement, admissions conversions, and community participation.
? Analyze performance data to
refine strategies
and report regularly to school leadership.
? Use insights to propose innovative, cost-effective marketing initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
? Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
?
Minimum 5-8 years of professional experience
in marketing or communications;
experience in the K-12 education sector preferred
.
? Proven success in
building or leading marketing teams
and implementing brand strategies.
? Strong grasp of
digital marketing, SEO, social media strategy, content creation, and campaign analytics
.
? Proficiency in
basic graphic design and video editing tools
(e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) and comfort working with creative vendors.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
? A
strategic thinker
with creativity, problem-solving skills, and a passion for education.
? Highly organized, process-driven, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
