To drive marketing strategy, customer acquisition, and business growth for a spinning mills group producing
1,20,000 MT of yarn annually
. The role focuses exclusively on yarn marketingMMCF (Man-Made Cellulosic Fibres), cotton, synthetic, and blended yarnscatering to knitting and weaving segments across domestic and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing Strategy & Business Growth
Develop and execute marketing strategies to grow market share in domestic and export yarn markets.
Identify high-potential segments across MMCF, cotton, synthetic, and blended yarns.
Drive sales growth through targeted marketing, pricing strategies, and customer-focused solutions.
Expand presence across major knitting, weaving, and textile clusters.
2. Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management
Identify, engage, and onboard new customers including mills, garment manufacturers, buying houses, and traders.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Handle customer meetings, product presentations, negotiations, and order closures.
Manage customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints with timely resolutions.
3. Product Marketing & Trend Alignment
Coordinate with the product development team to market new and innovative yarns.
Convert market trends into actionable marketing strategies and customer offerings.
Promote specialty yarns such as
, etc.
Support development of yarn collections aligned with seasonal and sustainability trends.
4. Market Intelligence & Competitor Mapping
Continuously track global and domestic yarn trends--counts, blends, finishes, and performance requirements.
Monitor competitor pricing, new product introductions, and market shifts.
Analyse opportunities in emerging fibres and recommend growth initiatives.
Prepare sales forecasts, pricing inputs, and monthly MIS reports.
5. Cross-functional Coordination
Work with production, planning, quality, and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of orders.
Communicate customer requirements to internal teams and ensure timely delivery.
Collaborate with product development to drive introduction of new yarn products based on market demand.
Qualifications & Experience
B.Tech / M.Tech in Textile Technology
(mandatory).
MBA in Marketing / International Business
(preferred).
6-8 years of experience
specifically in
yarn sales/marketing
(MMCF, cotton, synthetic, blends).
Proven track record in handling domestic and/or export yarn customers.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of yarn manufacturing, spinning technologies, and fibre properties.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong customer relationship management and market-driven mindset.
Ability to analyse trends and convert them into marketing strategies.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM/ERP systems, and sales reporting.
