POSITION OVERVIEW:



As the Retail Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that attract new customers, increase store footfall, and drive sales. You will lead marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels, collaborate with FMCG vendors for co-marketing initiatives, and manage a team of marketing professionals to ensure impactful execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



Strategic Marketing & Campaign Management



Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the supermarket's products, services, and brand positioning Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels including digital, print, social media, in-store promotions, and local advertising Monitor campaign performance using key metrics (footfall, sales conversion, ROI) and optimize strategies based on data insights Drive customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty program initiatives

Team Leadership & Execution



Manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals to ensure effective and efficient execution of all marketing initiatives Collaborate with creative teams, agencies, and vendors to develop compelling and effective marketing materials Ensure brand consistency across all customer touchpoints and marketing communications Foster a results-oriented and collaborative team environment

Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis



Conduct market research to identify consumer trends, preferences, shopping behavior, and emerging retail opportunities Analyze competitor activities (pricing, promotions, positioning) to stay ahead in the market and develop counter-strategies Gather customer insights through surveys, feedback, and data analytics to inform marketing decisions

Brand Building & Promotional Activities



Develop and maintain a strong brand identity that differentiates the supermarket from competitors Plan and execute promotional events, seasonal campaigns, festival offers, and in-store activations to drive footfall and sales Manage social media presence, content strategy, and community engagement to build brand loyalty Coordinate advertising campaigns across outdoor, radio, print, and digital platforms

Vendor Collaboration & Co-Marketing



Work closely with FMCG brands, suppliers, and vendors to develop and implement co-marketing campaigns and joint promotional activities Negotiate favorable terms for vendor-funded marketing initiatives Manage relationships with external partners including advertising agencies, media houses, and event organizers

Budget & Performance Management



Manage the marketing budget efficiently and ensure all expenditures are within allocated limits Analyze sales and marketing data to identify trends, measure campaign effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions Prepare regular reports on marketing performance, ROI, and key metrics for senior management

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:

5-6 years of proven experience in

retail marketing

, preferably in supermarket chains, hypermarkets, modern trade, or organized retail

?

Education:

Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, MBA, or related field

?

Retail Expertise:

Deep understanding of retail consumer behavior, footfall generation strategies, and retail promotional mechanics

?

Leadership Skills:

Strong team management and leadership abilities with a track record of building high-performing marketing teams

?

Digital Marketing:

Strong understanding of digital marketing channels including SEO, PPC, social media marketing, email marketing, and Google Ads

?

Core Competencies:



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making ability Experience managing marketing budgets and allocating resources effectively Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of SEO, PPC, Google Analytics, social media advertising, and other digital marketing tools

Experience with retail marketing automation tools and CRM platforms Knowledge of loyalty program management and customer retention strategies Understanding of Surat's retail market and local consumer preferences Experience working with FMCG brand partnerships and vendor-funded marketing Familiarity with omnichannel retail strategies (online + offline integration) Experience with local language marketing campaigns (Gujarati)

Pay: ₹34,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
