The Marketing Strategist is responsible for shaping the company's overall marketing direction through market insights, brand strategy, and integrated planning. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, competitive landscapes, and industry trends to develop strategies that strengthen brand equity, support market expansion, and enable sustainable business growth. The Marketing Strategist works closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to guide campaigns, positioning, and long-term marketing initiatives.
Lead the development of annual and quarterly marketing strategies aligned with business goals.
Conduct in-depth market analysis, industry trend monitoring, and competitive benchmarking.
Identify new market segments, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
Translate insights into strategic recommendations for product, sales, and marketing teams.
Brand & Positioning
Define, refine, and protect the brand's positioning, identity, and messaging.
Ensure consistent application of brand voice and values across all marketing and communication channels.
Evaluate brand perception and make strategic recommendations to enhance brand relevance.
Marketing Program Development
Develop integrated marketing programs that include events, partnerships, content, PR, and advertising.
Guide campaign strategies, ensuring alignment with target markets, value propositions, and overall business direction.
Partner with internal teams to ensure marketing initiatives support product launches, sales strategies, and customer engagement.
Cross-Functional Influence
Collaborate with sales, product, research, and leadership teams to ensure strategic alignment.
Provide strategic direction to creative, communications, and marketing operations teams.
Manage external agencies for research, branding, creative work, media, or PR as needed.
Performance Measurement
Develop measurable objectives and KPIs for marketing strategy and brand initiatives.
Analyze results of campaigns and marketing programs to inform future strategy.
Provide regular insight-driven reports and recommendations to management.
QualificationsRequired
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
4-8 years of experience in marketing strategy, brand strategy, or marketing planning.
Strong analytical skills, with experience in market research and consumer insights.
Excellent strategic thinking, storytelling, and communication abilities.
Experience developing integrated (not solely digital) marketing plans.
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence decision-making.
Preferred
Experience in brand development and go-to-market strategy.
Background working with agencies, research firms, or brand consultancies.
Knowledge of market segmentation and customer behavior analysis.
