Job Description

The Marketing Manager is a multifaceted role that combines traditional and modern marketing techniques to promote the hospital's services, raise brand awareness, and support its social mission. This person is responsible for crafting the hospital's public image across various media platforms, which is crucial for an NGO that relies on public trust, patient volume, and donor support.

Key Responsibilities



1. Print Media & Traditional Marketing:



Developing Marketing Collateral:

Designing and managing the production of brochures, flyers, posters, and other print materials that communicate the hospital's services, success stories, and mission. This includes working with graphic designers and printers.

Advertising:

Planning and executing print advertising campaigns in newspapers, magazines, and other relevant publications, especially in local or regional media to reach the target audience.

Event Management:

Organizing and promoting community health camps, seminars, and other events to raise awareness about eye health and the hospital's services.

Partnerships:

Building relationships with local community centers, schools, and corporate entities to facilitate health camps and tie-ups for patient referrals.

2. Social Media & Digital Marketing:



Content Strategy & Management:

Creating and managing a content calendar for all social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube). This involves writing engaging posts, creating graphics and videos, and responding to comments and messages.

Online Presence:

Overseeing the hospital's website, ensuring it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and optimized for search engines (SEO) to attract potential patients.

Paid Campaigns:

Planning and executing paid advertising campaigns on social media and search engines (PPC/Google Ads) to drive patient inquiries and appointments.

Analytics and Reporting:

Using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights to track the performance of marketing campaigns, analyze data, and provide regular reports to senior management.

3. Public Relations (PR):



Media Relations:

Building and maintaining relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers to secure positive media coverage (e.g., press releases, articles, interviews). This is especially important for an NGO to share its impact stories and attract funding.

Reputation Management:

Monitoring public perception of the hospital and its services across all media channels. They are responsible for responding to public feedback and, in a crisis, managing communication to protect the hospital's reputation.

Storytelling:

Identifying and sharing compelling patient success stories, testimonials, and the hospital's philanthropic work to inspire public trust and support.

Internal Communication:

Collaborating with different departments, including doctors and senior management, to gather information and ensure consistent messaging across all external communications.

Eligibility



Education:

A

bachelor's or master's degree

in a relevant field such as Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Business Administration is a key requirement.

Experience:

A minimum of

5-7 years of progressive experience

in a marketing or PR role, with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns. Prior experience in the

eye care or

healthcare or non-profit sector

is a significant advantage, as it demonstrates an understanding of the unique ethical considerations, regulations, and patient-centric approach required. Proven experience in managing

both traditional and digital marketing campaigns

is essential.

The capacity to analyze data and campaign performance metrics to make data-driven decisions.

The ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of doctors, administrators, and other staff to achieve common goals.
