The Marketing Manager - Events & Exhibitions will be responsible for leading the company's presence at trade shows, expos, and flagship events. This role involves managing end-to-end event operations, coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring brand visibility, supporting lead generation, and strengthening industry partnerships. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable travelling frequently across India.
Key Responsibilities1. Exhibition & Trade Show Management
Attend national and international exhibitions, trade shows, and industry events on behalf of the company.
Oversee stall management including branding, setup, vendor coordination, and logistics.
Ensure smooth execution of exhibition activities as per company SOPs.
Drive lead generation at events by interacting with visitors, engaging prospects, and capturing accurate data.
Manage post-event reporting, follow-up coordination, and CRM entry of all leads and networking contacts.
2. Media Partnership & External Coordination
Liaise and negotiate with trade show and exhibition organisers for media partnerships.
Manage partnership deliverables, including branding, storytelling initiatives, online/print promotions, and event coverage.
Maintain strong relationships with organisers to unlock long-term value and priority positioning for the company.
3. Flagship Event Planning & Operations
Plan, organise, and execute the company's flagship events, conferences, seminars, and networking meet-ups.
Coordinate with multiple internal teams and external vendors--venue partners, production houses, design teams, and logistics suppliers.
Ensure timely execution of all event deliverables, from conceptualisation to on-ground operations.
Manage event budgets, timelines, promotional activities, and final reporting.
4. Video Shoot Coordination & On-Ground Support
Travel with videographers across India for event-based video capturing, interviews, and coverage projects.
Work closely with the video team to ensure shoot requirements, scripts, schedules, and logistics are well aligned.
Assist in obtaining permissions, coordinating with client teams, and ensuring smooth on-ground execution of all video activities.
5. Networking & CRM Management
Network with a wide range of industry professionals, exhibitors, thought leaders, and potential clients at events.
Capture, organise, and maintain all networking data in the company's CRM as per SOPs.
Ensure timely follow-up communication in coordination with relevant teams.
Build and nurture relationships that contribute to brand presence, partnerships, and business opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, or related field.
3-6 years of experience in event management, exhibitions, marketing, or brand activation (preferably in manufacturing, tech, or B2B sectors).
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Hands-on experience with event planning, vendor management, and on-ground execution.
Familiarity with CRM tools and lead management processes.
Ability to travel extensively across India (up to 50-60% of the time).
Strong organisational and multitasking capabilities.
Ability to work under tight timelines and dynamic environments.
