Marketing Manager for APIs and Intermediates
A mid-sized R&D-driven manufacturer of niche APIs seeks a Marketing Manager to lead sales and promotion for export markets and import-substitute intermediates in domestic market. Expertise in regulations, global partnerships, and revenue growth is essential in India's expanding API sector.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute marketing strategies for APIs in exports (US, Europe) and domestic import substitutes.
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and identify opportunities in pharma, cosmetics, chemicals.
Expand customer base via outreach, exhibitions; manage relationships and negotiate pricing/tenders.
Coordinate with R&D, QC/QA, production, logistics for order fulfillment; prepare sales forecasts and MIS reports.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, or Pharmacy; MBA preferred; 5+ years in API/intermediates sales/marketing with export experience.
Knowledge of regulations (USFDA, EDQM), market dynamics, niche APIs; proven sales target achievement.
Strong communication, negotiation, analytical skills; proficient in CRM, MS Office, commercial documents.
Preferred Skills
Experience in regulatory filings, product registrations, industry events; leadership for sales teams.
Familiarity with India's API drivers like cost-competitive manufacturing and niche segments.
