Position Summary
We are seeking an aggressive and strategic
Head of Sales & Marketing
to lead our revenue generation and brand positioning. You will be responsible for overseeing the P&L for sales, devising marketing campaigns to increase footfall and leads, and managing high-net-worth individual (HNWI) relationships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
Target Achievement:
Define and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets for the Mumbai region.
Store/Channel Management:
Oversee operations for [Retail Showrooms / B2B Vertical / E-commerce], ensuring high conversion rates and average ticket size (ATS).
Clienteling:
personally manage relationships with top-tier HNWIs, corporate clients, and celebrity stylists to drive high-value sales.
Inventory Feedback:
Analyze sales trends to provide feedback to the merchandising team regarding fast-moving designs and market demands.
2. Brand & Marketing Management
360-Degree Marketing:
Lead the marketing calendar, including digital (Instagram/Social Media), print, and OOH advertising specific to the Mumbai market.
Events & Exhibitions:
Plan and execute participation in key industry events (e.g., IIJS) and host exclusive in-store preview events for elite customers.
Digital Presence:
Oversee the e-commerce strategy and digital lead generation to bridge the gap between online browsing and offline purchasing.
3. Team Leadership
Recruit, train, and mentor the sales floor staff and marketing team.
Implement sales training programs focused on luxury selling techniques, gemology basics, and customer hospitality.
4. Market Intelligence
Monitor competitor activities (pricing, new collections, offers) within the Mumbai jewellery sector.
Identify new market opportunities or store locations for expansion.
Candidate Requirements
Experience:
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in Sales & Marketing.
At least 5 years in the Jewellery or Luxury Retail sector is mandatory.
Education:
MBA in Marketing/International Business or equivalent is preferred.
Local Knowledge:
Strong understanding of the Mumbai consumer psychology, seasonal buying trends (Wedding season, Dhanteras, Akshay Tritiya), and cultural nuances.
Network:
Existing relationships with HNWIs, stylists, or corporate gifting decision-makers in Mumbai is a strong plus.
Key Skills
Luxury Communication:
Impeccable grooming and communication skills (English, Hindi, and Gujarati/Marathi is an advantage).
Data-Driven:
Ability to use CRM software and analyze sales metrics (KPIs).
Trend Awareness:
A keen eye for jewellery fashion trends and visual merchandising.
