Job Summary
The Marketing Engineer (OEM) will be responsible for supporting and growing Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) business by providing technical marketing support, product positioning, and customer engagement. This role bridges engineering, sales, and marketing to ensure effective promotion, specification, and adoption of the company's products within OEM accounts.
Key ResponsibilitiesOEM Marketing & Business Support
Develop and execute OEM-focused marketing strategies to drive product adoption and revenue growth.
Support OEM customers with technical product information, application guidance, and solution positioning.
Collaborate with sales teams to identify new OEM opportunities and expand existing accounts.
Participate in customer meetings, product presentations, and technical discussions with OEM partners.
Technical Marketing
Translate technical product features into customer-focused value propositions.
Prepare technical marketing collateral such as brochures, presentations, application notes, and case studies.
Support new product launches for OEM customers, including positioning and go-to- market activities.
Conduct product training sessions for internal teams and OEM customers.
Market & Competitor Analysis
Analyse OEM market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings.
Gather voice-of-customer feedback and relay insights to product management and engineering teams.
Support pricing, benchmarking, and product roadmap discussions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with R&D, Product Management, Sales, and Quality teams to support OEM requirements.
Coordinate with supply chain and operations to ensure feasibility of OEM-specific solutions.
Support customization, validation, and documentation required for OEM approvals.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain OEM account documentation, product specifications, and technical records.
Track marketing activities, OEM engagement, and performance metrics.
Provide regular reports on OEM pipeline, opportunities, and market insights.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Industrial or related field).
MBA or marketing certification is a plus.
Experience
2 to 5 years of experience in technical marketing, application engineering, or OEM sales support.
Experience working with OEM customers in [industry: automotive / industrial / electronics / machinery, etc.] preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong technical understanding with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
Customer-focused mindset with strong presentation and communication skills.
Analytical skills for market research and competitive analysis.
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and marketing documentation.
