Market Development & Promotion:

Job Purpose:

To drive market penetration and sales growth by supporting the promotion and development of agricultural products in the field. The MDO plays a critical role in engaging with farmers, retailers, and distributors to create product awareness, provide technical support, and build long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute marketing and promotional activities at the village and block level. Organize farmer meetings, field demonstrations, and product trials to showcase product effectiveness. Educate farmers on product usage, agronomic practices, and application techniques.

Market Intelligence:

Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and promotional trends in the territory. Share regular field reports and customer insights with the regional office.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of field visits, events conducted, and customer interactions. Prepare weekly and monthly activity reports for internal review.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Science, or related discipline. 1-3 years of experience in agricultural input sales/marketing preferred; fresh graduates with a strong rural/agri background may also apply. Knowledge of crop patterns, agri-inputs (fertilizers, seeds, agrochemicals), and farming practices.

Skills & Competencies:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with rural customers. Strong presentation and persuasion abilities. Problem-solving mindset and customer service orientation. Willingness to travel extensively and work in rural markets.
