Role Overview
We're seeking an experienced copywriter who can serve as the voice behind our portfolio companies across multiple platforms. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with a serial entrepreneur and write across diverse industries - from healthcare to B2B services to home services. You'll be responsible for creating compelling content that drives business results while maintaining authentic, distinct voices for different brands and leaders.
Primary Responsibilities
Ghostwriting & Thought Leadership (40%)
Write LinkedIn posts, articles, and commentary on topics including business acquisition, entrepreneurship, small business operations, and investment strategy
Ghostwrite for portfolio company executives on industry-specific topics
Develop and maintain distinct voice profiles for each executive/brand
Create long-form thought leadership content including blog posts and articles
Adapt writing style to match each person's natural communication patterns
Portfolio Company Content (30%)
Write website copy, service descriptions, and landing page content
Create marketing collateral including case studies, one-pagers, and sales materials
Develop ad copy for paid campaigns across search and social platforms
Write email sequences for lead nurturing and customer engagement
Produce content for diverse audiences (B2B services, healthcare patients, homeowners)
Content Strategy & Coordination (20%)
Build and manage content calendars across multiple brands and executives
Coordinate publishing schedules to ensure consistent presence across platforms
Track content performance and adjust strategy based on engagement metrics
Plan content themes and campaigns aligned with business objectives
Ensure brand consistency while maintaining distinct identities for each company
Newsletter Development (10%)
Write and manage email newsletters for the portfolio companies
Develop newsletter strategy including frequency, topics, and audience segmentation
Create compelling subject lines and preview text for maximum open rates
Analyze newsletter performance and optimize for engagement
Required Qualifications
Essential Experience
3+ years of professional copywriting experience
with demonstrated portfolio
Proven ghostwriting experience
- must provide samples of work written in others' voices
US market experience
- must have written for US-based clients, companies, or audiences
Multi-industry adaptability
- ability to quickly research and write authoritatively across different sectors
B2B writing experience
- comfortable with business services, SaaS, professional services content
Core Skills
Exceptional written English with native-level fluency
Ability to adopt and maintain multiple distinct writing voices
Strong research skills to quickly understand new industries and topics
Experience with content management and scheduling tools
Self-directed with excellent project management abilities
Comfortable working US business hours for key meetings/collaboration (flexible schedule otherwise)
Highly Valued
Experience writing about business acquisition, entrepreneurship, or investment
Understanding of SEO and content optimization
Experience with LinkedIn content strategy and platform best practices
Background in journalism, creative writing, or English literature
Familiarity with US business culture and communication norms
Work Environment & Tools
Initial Remote Setup:
We will initially be fully remote with flexibility in daily schedule. We may establish an office in Ahmedabad at a later date.
Must be available for 1-2 calls per week during US Pacific business hours (evenings IST)
Primarily asynchronous communication via Slack and email
