To research and identify new opportunities - including new markets/indiustrial areas, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets To seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation To generate leads and cold call prospective customers To meet with customers/clients face to face, virtually and expalin in detail To foster and develop relationships with customers/clients To understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet them To work strategically for carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes To draw up client contracts - depending on the of company To have a good understanding of the businesses services and be able to advise others about them To train members of your team, arranging external training where appropriate To discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department liaise with the finance team, warehousing and logistics departments To attend seminars, conferences and events realted our indiustry or for prospective business growth To help plan sales strategy & marketing To create a pipeline of prospective clients To negotiate pricing with customers, and suppliers in some cases Maintaining the banks of forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management/the board of directors on new trends and growth To take avtive part in business plan formulation To have constant communication with prospective clients All other activities and tasks given time to time by the management as per the companies requirement
