The Marketing Analytics Technology, Specialist supports enterprise-wide digital data collection and reporting by managing tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Tags, Microsoft Clarity, and Looker Studio. This role partners with marketing technology owners, business leaders, and the Analytics & Insights team to gather technical requirements, implement tagging strategies, and ensure accurate data capture across Eaton's digital experiences. Responsibilities include developing JavaScript-based solutions, identifying and resolving data gaps, enabling self-service reporting, and providing user support and training. The specialist also monitors industry trends and promotes best practices in digital analytics to drive continuous improvement and reporting success.
Partner with cross-functional teams including marketing technology owners, business leaders, and the Analytics & Insights team to understand digital data collection needs and support reporting success.
Manage and maintain analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Microsoft Clarity, Looker Studio, and Microsoft Web Tools to ensure accurate and effective data collection.
Support access and usage of tag management systems (Adobe Tags, Google Tag Manager) and other analytics tools across all digital experiences.
Lead technical requirements gathering for analytics tagging initiatives and ensure alignment with approved data collection standards.
Develop and validate analytics tags using JavaScript and other code to support data collection and marketing tool deployment.
Identify and resolve data collection gaps, recommending corrective actions to ensure data integrity and completeness.
Provide user support and training for analytics tools, including troubleshooting, onboarding, and documentation.
Enable self-service reporting by developing and supporting team members in maintaining Google Looker Studio dashboards.
Contribute to digital marketing effectiveness by ensuring accurate data is available for analysis and continuous improvement.
Monitor and share updates on the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing analytics and data collection.
Promote awareness and education around digital analytics processes, tools, and governance across the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelors, Associates with relevant experience
5-8 or more years of experience
Skills:
Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics, Tag management applications including GTM or Adobe Tags, cookie compliance tools and privacy regulations, data visualization best practices, Agile development, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
Business requirement gathering.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
