Team Overview



The Market Research team supports the qualitative and quantitative market research function at Norstella. The team ensures the derivation of valuable and actionable insights and strategy via data analysis to facilitate the delivery of the highest quality deliverables to pharmaceutical clients. We focus on understanding healthcare provider behaviors, trends, and needs through extensive analysis of existing data sources. Our team collaborates closely with partners at The Dedham Group to ensure that our research aligns with organizational objectives and meets the evolving needs of our clients. Within this team, Market Research Analyst conducts secondary research focused on healthcare provider organizations, gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing data to offer critical insights that drive strategic decision-making. Through rigorous data analysis, we support key initiatives in healthcare provider segmentation, service optimization, and market assessment, ultimately helping stakeholders make informed decisions in an increasingly complex healthcare environment.



Position Description



As an Analyst, Advisory & Insights, your role will primarily focus on developing fact packs to support strategic consulting projects in oncology and specialty therapeutics. The ideal candidate will possess strong secondary research skills, an interest in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, client-ready materials. As a detail-oriented and proactive Analyst, you will ensure quality control (QC) and finalization of secondary research deliverables, maintaining high-quality standards.Conduct comprehensive secondary research using internally and publicly available and subscription-based sources (e.g., clinical trials databases, company reports, industry publications, medical literature). Develop and maintain structured fact packs that summarize key therapeutic area findings, product landscapes, treatment paradigms, and competitive dynamics. Support consulting project teams with relevant, timely and accurate data, insights, and context for oncology and specialty therapeutic areas. Monitor industry trends, pipeline developments, and regulatory changes to ensure research content remains current and relevant. Collaborate with consultants, engagement managers, and subject matter experts to align fact packs with project objectives and client needs. Ensure high-quality, well-sourced, and consistently formatted deliverables. Integrate an insightful and actionable narrative into multiple pharmaceutical client deliverable types across a variety of therapeutic areas. Recommend and implement content, deliverable, and process enhancements. Review and validate secondary research outputs for accuracy, relevance, and completeness. And other duties as assigned.




REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in life sciences, public health, or a related field (Master's degree a plus). 2+ years of professional experience in market research, marketing analysis, consulting, biotech, pharmaceuticals, or managed care industry Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and US managed care industries preferred Knowledgeable in qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies Familiarity with therapeutic areas such as oncology and specialty pharmaceuticals is strongly preferred. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to summarize complex clinical data. Excellent attention to detail, written communication, and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proficiency in data gathering and secondary research methodologies Strong attention to detail, with a proven ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work Excellent organizational skills and time management, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines effectively Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a collaborative team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong skills with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Genuine interest in professional growth and development through feedback and commitment to corporate core values Unusual intellectual curiosity and creativity, reflected in a broad range of interests and excellent analytic abilities
