Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified

Marker Fitter

with an

ITI certification

in Metal Fabrication or related trades. The candidate will be responsible for accurately marking layout lines and reference points on metal surfaces based on engineering drawings. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring precision in cutting, drilling, and assembling fabricated metal structures.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and read fabrication drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams. Mark layout lines, points, and reference indicators on raw metal materials using tools like scribers, punches, and chalks. Measure and mark cutting lines on metal plates, pipes, and sections as per job requirements. Coordinate with fitters, welders, and CNC operators to ensure accuracy in production. Ensure dimensional accuracy and minimize material wastage. Select and mark correct templates, fixtures, and gauges for fabrication. Maintain tools and work area in a clean and safe condition. Adhere to safety protocols and report any hazards or defects to the supervisor.

Requirements:

ITI Certificate

in Fitter, Fabrication, Mechanical, or related trade. Minimum [1-3] years of experience as a marker fitter in the metal fabrication or heavy engineering industry. Strong knowledge of measurement tools (vernier caliper, measuring tape, scriber, punch, etc.). Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and fabrication sketches. Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Physically fit to work in a workshop/factory environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with sheet metal layout, heavy fabrication, or structural steel marking. Familiarity with fabrication shop practices and welding symbols. Basic understanding of CNC cutting and machine shop coordination.

Pay: ?182,000.00 - ?260,000.00 per year
