Job Description

Job Purpose:



To carry out inspections, surveys, and audits of vessels, marine structures, and related equipment to ensure compliance with international regulations, classification society standards, and client requirements. Provide professional technical advice and reports to support safe and efficient maritime operations.

Key Responsibilities:



Conduct surveys of ships, offshore units, and cargo to assess condition, seaworthiness, and compliance with statutory and class requirements. Perform pre-purchase, condition, damage, and insurance surveys as required. Inspect hull, machinery, and cargo gear for compliance with safety and maintenance standards. Prepare detailed survey reports, including findings, recommendations, and repair specifications. Witness tests of equipment, machinery, and materials related to ship construction and repair. Liaise with shipowners, managers, insurance representatives, and regulatory authorities. Participate in accident investigations and root-cause analyses when required. Carry out

P&I condition surveys

, documentation, and compliance. Conduct

H&M (Hull & Machinery) damage and condition surveys

to assess the extent of loss, cause, and repair requirements in accordance with insurance policies.

Qualifications and Experience:



Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field. Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in ship operations, classification, or marine surveying. Proficient in report writing and technical documentation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and travel extensively.

Certifiate of Proficiency Oil & Chemical Tanker Cargo Operations
