Job Description

Al Mabrouk Marine Services LLC is seeking a Marine Shore Service Engineer - Electrical & Automation to perform shore-based maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of marine vessel electrical and automation systems. The role ensures vessel systems remain compliant and operational during docked periods, dry-docking, or while alongside.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Troubleshoot and repair marine electrical systems: o Switchboards, power distribution, generator controls, emergency systems. Service, calibrate, and configure automation systems: o PLCs, HMI, SCADA, Engine Monitoring Systems (EMS), Alarm Monitoring Systems (AMS). Perform inspections, fault diagnostics, and root cause analysis. Support electrical retrofits, system upgrades, and commissioning. Interpret electrical schematics, PLC logic, and system layouts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Education:

Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering.

Experience

: 3+ years in marine electrical and automation service.

Technical Skills:

Hands-on experience with PLCs (Siemens, Delta, Schneider, ABB), SCADA, HMI. Diagnostics and troubleshooting of marine electrical & control systems. Ability to interpret electrical drawings and work independently onboard.

Soft Skills:

o Clear communication, reporting, and client coordination.

Ability to work under pressure during urgent vessel requirements. Team player with a customer-focused mindset.

Certifications (Preferred):

STCW Basic Safety Training Medical Fitness Certificate OEM training in PLC/automation systems

Physical Demands:

o Ability to work in engine rooms.

Working Conditions:

o Onshore-based with site visits to vessels in port, dry dock, or shipyards, with occasional offshore attendance as required.

Prepare detailed service reports, compliance documentation, and wiring modifications. o Liaise with OEMs and classification societies. Ensure adherence to IMO, SOLAS, and Class regulations.
