with 2 years of relevant experience to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and support of marine piping systems in compliance with classification society and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform basic piping calculations including pipe sizing, flow rate, and pressure drop.
Prepare piping schematics and P&IDs for various marine systems.
Design system line diagrams in compliance with Class rules and SOLAS requirements.
Assist in equipment and valve selection based on system design requirements.
Coordinate with hull, machinery, and electrical teams to ensure proper system integration.
Support 3D piping modeling and production drawings using Cadmatic and AutoCAD.
Review vendor drawings and technical datasheets for pumps, valves, and related equipment.
Assist in addressing class review comments and implementing design revisions.
Maintain engineering documentation and drawing control as per project standards.
Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning stages.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Marine Engineering or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in marine piping design.
Knowledge of marine systems and applicable class rules.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Cadmatic is preferred.
Good understanding of P&IDs, system diagrams, and vendor documentation.
Strong coordination and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working on shipbuilding or offshore projects.
Familiarity with SOLAS and classification society requirements.
