Position: Marathi Teacher (Grades 1 to 10)

Position Summary

The Marathi Teacher will be responsible for teaching Marathi language and literature to students from Grades 1 to 10. The role focuses on developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while fostering an appreciation of Marathi culture, values, and traditions.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

Plan and deliver age-appropriate Marathi lessons for Grades 1 to 10. Develop students' proficiency in Marathi grammar, vocabulary, reading, and writing. Encourage spoken Marathi through interactive activities, storytelling, debates, and role plays. Use differentiated teaching strategies to meet the learning needs of diverse students.

Curriculum & Assessment

Teach the prescribed syllabus as per the school's curriculum (CBSE / ICSE / State Board / School framework as applicable). Design and conduct assessments, worksheets, and examinations to evaluate student progress. Maintain accurate academic records, lesson plans, and assessment documentation. Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic performance.

Student Development & Classroom Management

Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment. Support students' linguistic, social, and emotional development. Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support where required.

School Participation

Participate in school events, cultural programs, and language-related activities. Contribute to celebrations, assemblies, and competitions related to Marathi language and culture. Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development programs.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marathi or a related field. B.Ed. or D.Ed. (preferred). Minimum 2-5 years of experience teaching Marathi to primary and secondary students.
Skills & Competencies

Strong command over Marathi language (spoken and written). Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Ability to engage students across different age groups. Familiarity with child-centric and activity-based teaching methods. Proficiency in basic educational technology and digital tools.
Preferred Attributes

Experience in teaching across both primary and secondary levels. Passion for language teaching and cultural education. Creative approach to lesson delivery and student engagement.

Pay: ₹10,570.60 - ₹45,000.00 per month
