Description The Manufacturing Subject Matter Expert (SME) - - Supply Chain SME Past Role(s) handled should include the following - Should have played the role of a Supply Chain Manager of a manufacturing company or worked as a Supply chain SME in an IT company. Responsible for overseeing and managing company\'s overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity in any of the below given areas. In addition, they play a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors. Log and maintain every part numbers, BOM\'s, manufacturing routers along with work orders in different software supporting manufacturing production. Represent manufacturing or production on cross-functional terms. Provide cost evaluation, manufacturing documents and develop Bill Of Material for new projects and products. Support operations manager to identify, install and initiate manufacturing and packaging equipment\'s. Head responsibility for apt operation as well as maintenance of designated tools plus support equipment\'s. Support deviation management process and primary cause evaluation for executed process deviations. Develop and present metrics and trending reports on corrective actions as well as deviations. Prepare standard costs and evaluation on multiple product lines for different facilities Coordinate manufacturing launch of new and revised products inclusive of established goals, team members training and results evaluation. Design, develop and test all cost-justifying different machinery, tools and equipment for suggested manufacturing methods. Conduct product and process analysis for quality improvement, cost reduction and enhanced efficiency. 12-20 years of experience in the Manufacturing Industry in supply chain domain or as a Manufacturing/Supply chain SME in IT domain. Hands on experience with supply chain management software (such as SAP MM, AP Modules, SAP Plant Maintenance, etc.) Should have sound knowledge on manufacturing business supply chain process. Experience with 3PL and 4PL logistics operation is a plus Should be able to provide expertise in supply chain management KPI\'s and have worked on SCM transformational initiatives. Experience in planning and implement the overall supply chain strategy Collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams Knowledge on key supply chain KPIs BA in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or similar relevant field Responsibilities for Manufacturing SME role in IT Context for Birlasoft: The responsibilities of the SME are to ensure the facts and details are correct so that the project\'s/program\'s deliverable(s) will meet the needs of the stakeholders, legislation, policies, standards, and best practices. To achieve this, SMEs will: As a part of the vertical SME team, participate in the workshops with customers and Sales teams where required to bring in the domain led competency flavour. Act as the \'go to\' person within in the industry vertical for questions and problems within his/her area of expertise. Define solutions and propositions to solve real supply chain business problems with relevant technology solutions Define the latest and greatest in the Industry 4.0 area and share recommendations on various facets related to the same Provide recommendations for technology led improvements in the industry Understand the customer/ sales language/terms/jargon in his/her area of expertise - precision, discreet etc. Speak with Analysts like Forrester, Gartner, IDC representing the organisation competency on various manufacturing subjects Evaluate and recommend the right partnerships with Start-ups and smaller partners in the Industry 4.0 area Understand requisite knowledge that underlies effective decision-making and is able to describe where anomalies or flaws may occur in the decision-making for his/her area of expertise. Conduct research, drive IT led solution team for design plus development of solutions inclusive of production flow, assembly procedures and production equipment. Provide input for the design and construction of test cases and scenarios and may also validate executed test results for solutions and some key projects Test the solutions towards the end of the project/program using and evaluating it for accuracy and usability, providing feedback to the project team.
