Role

As the Line Incharge Frame (Fuel tank & Frame body weld line) you will be part of the Quality and will report to the[Manufacturing Quality Section Head Frame.

The purpose of your role will be toEnsure defect free processes/production in the Frame Plant (Fuel tank & Frame body -weld shop process line ) through evaluation & improvement of product & process quality and adherence to Quality Assurance System, to achieve zero customer complaints and zero rejection (rework and scrap)

A purpose driven role for you

Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• To ensure the Quality of Fuel tank & Frame body -welding process/Product by doing Product & Process Audit and identifying non conformity for improvement & Restoration.
• Analysis of Defect Mode by finding the Phenomena & solving the issue through 7 steps of Kaizen story.
• Interaction with other departments like Production, Maintenance, Tool Room, Projects and R&D for Quality related issue.
• Maintaining the Audit Inspection Reports for every zone wise.
• Ensure Defect Free Products from Weld shop to Internal & External Customer through Evaluation & Improvement of Product & Processes & adhering to Quality Assurance System.
• Preparing Daily quality report, Daily MIS & Monthly MIS and taking corrective action.
• Process knowledge of mig welding process, spot welding process & seam welding process
• Validation of Running & New model process / product
• Warranty part analysis
• Operator competency development by providing training
• CMM machine operation & working knowledge , Penetration testing working knowledge and Fuel tank testing knowledge of nugget test,millipore test,leak test ,pillow test etc

A Day in the life

• Ensure finished product quality dependent on multiple stakeholders
• Ensure right skill in welding process and related testing
• Responsible for clearing Quality issues of New model
• Timely gathering of New models information from respective departments.
• Develop Skill level of Operators
• Timely Restoration activities from other Departments

Academic Qualification & Experience

Diploma with 7~10 yrs of experience

OR

B.tech Mech/Auto with 5~6 yrs of Exp

Technical Skills/Knowledge

• Complete knowledge of welding process & functioning of different parts.
• Good analytical skills to identify the root cause of the defects
• knowledge of welding performance related parameters
• Ability to identify the defects in vehicle & Part level
• Problem Solving
