Job Description

Role Summary

As the Manufacturing Project Manager, you will lead and oversee manufacturing projects from initiation through completion. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, procurement, quality, safety, compliance, and stakeholder communication. Success in this role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in manufacturing processes,

excellent spoken English for client/vendor interactions

, and proficiency with project management and manufacturing execution tools.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling:

Develop detailed project plans for production and facility upgrades; establish timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Budget Management:

Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenditures, optimize costs, and ensure projects remain within financial targets.

Production Coordination:

Work with plant managers, engineers, and operations teams to align project execution with manufacturing schedules.

Stakeholder Communication:

Act as a liaison between clients, suppliers, engineers, contractors, and production teams to ensure smooth collaboration.

Risk Management:

Identify bottlenecks, equipment risks, and supply chain issues; implement contingency and mitigation strategies.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure all manufacturing processes and project deliverables adhere to ISO, Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and company standards.

Safety & Compliance:

Enforce OSHA, EPA, and industry-specific regulations, ensuring projects comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Procurement & Vendor Management:

Oversee sourcing of equipment, raw materials, and production tools; negotiate with suppliers and contractors.

Team Leadership:

Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, procurement, and quality), delegate effectively, and drive team performance.

Reporting:

Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project progress, risks, costs, and production impact.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:



Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (required) Master's degree in Engineering Management, Manufacturing Systems, or Operations Management (good to have)

Experience:



5+ years of experience managing projects in a manufacturing or industrial environment Experience with plant expansions, process improvement, or equipment installation projects

US manufacturing project experience (good to have)


Language Requirement:



Excellent spoken and written English is mandatory

(for client/vendor communication and reporting)

Technical Skills / Tools:



Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, lean methodologies, and Six Sigma principles Proficiency in project scheduling software (MS Project, Oracle Primavera P6, or Smartsheet) Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools Advanced Excel and MS Office Suite for cost tracking and reporting

Certifications (Preferred):



Project Management Professional (PMP) - PMI Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) - SME OSHA Safety Certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour) Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) - APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) - APICS
