Job Title : Manufacturing Manager

Salary : As per Company Standards

Experience : Minimum 10 years of engineering or factory experience (preferably in glove, rubber, or process or foods or chemical industry).

Qualification : B.E/B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

1. Role Overview

The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire production and maintenance operations of the glove manufacturing unit. He will coordinate with the Production, Maintenance, and Boiler teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe factory operations with maximum uptime and quality.

2. Production Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise day-to-day production activities.

Work closely with the Production Engineer and team to ensure targets are achieved.

Collect, monitor, and document production reports daily.

Follow all production-related SOPs, checklists, and documentation standards.

Track and improve key performance indicators such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), Yield, and Productivity.

Ensure manpower planning, allocation, and discipline are maintained in the production area.

Support continuous improvement, problem-solving, and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Maintain proper coordination with QA, Stores, and Maintenance for smooth line operation.

Encourage teamwork, discipline, and safety in all production areas.

3. Maintenance Responsibilities :

Should hold a

C-License in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).

Must have B.E/B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Strong technical knowledge in Electrical systems, control panels, relay logics, and industrial automation.

Must have a good understanding of plant maintenance, utilities, thermic fluid heaters (boilers), and preventive maintenance systems.

Capable of leading Maintenance, Boiler, and Utility teams effectively.

Knowledge in handling mechanical, civil, and instrumentation areas at a basic supervisory level.

Monitor and analyze Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) to minimize downtime.

Plan and execute Preventive and Predictive Maintenance schedules.

Maintain and control critical spares inventory and ensure availability of essential parts.

Familiar with ISO audits, Energy audits, and documentation standards.

Should understand plant safety, fire safety, and electrical safety norms.

Must be able to identify inefficiencies and introduce small automation or cost-saving ideas.

Should know how to use basic AI tools or ChatGPT for documentation, analysis, and reporting.

Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out with safety, discipline, and proper records.

4. Documentation & KPI Knowledge

Maintain records for breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and spares usage.

Should be able to prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.

Ensure adherence to all maintenance SOPs and audit checklists.

Follow and track KPIs like:

Breakdown frequency

MTBF and MTTR

Uptime %

Preventive maintenance compliance %

Power and utility consumption efficiency

5. Experience and Personality

Minimum 10 years of engineering or factory experience (preferably in glove, rubber, or process or foods or chemical industry).

Should be smart, energetic, enthusiastic, and self-driven.

Must have good communication, planning, and coordination skills.

Should be open-minded -- able to manage both production and maintenance roles together.

Must have leadership qualities to handle teams, motivate them, and ensure accountability.
