Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective production of metal components and assemblies. The role involves process improvement, equipment design/modification, production support, and ensuring quality and productivity targets are achieved in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Development & Optimization
Develop and improve manufacturing processes for fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly of metal components.
Analyze workflows, production methods, and layout to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives.
2. Production Support
Provide technical support to the production team for troubleshooting process and equipment issues.
Ensure adherence to process parameters, work instructions, and quality standards.
Monitor and reduce downtime through preventive maintenance and root cause analysis.
3. Design & Tooling
Design and develop jigs, fixtures, tools, and gauges to improve accuracy and productivity.
Work with CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for process and tooling design.
4. Quality & Compliance
Collaborate with the Quality department to ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements.
Develop process documentation, control plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Participate in internal and external audits.
5. Cost & Productivity Improvement
Conduct time and motion studies to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Support cost reduction projects by improving process yield and material utilization.
Monitor key manufacturing KPIs (OEE, scrap rate, cycle time).
6. Safety & Sustainability
Ensure safety protocols are implemented in all manufacturing processes.
Promote safe working practices and environmental sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: 2-7 years in manufacturing engineering within metals or heavy fabrication industry (steel, aluminum, machining, fabrication, or casting).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design tools.
Knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining, and finishing processes.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement tools.
Understanding of material properties, tolerances, and metal forming techniques.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
