Job Description

Contributes to the technical delivery of projects that generate new products, processes and understanding which have commercial value to JM. Works independently on specific engineering tasks within required time frame with support available and regular checks by supervisor or senior colleague

• Estimate Costs and Bid Submission:

• Estimate costs and prepare bids for engineering, construction, or extraction projects.
• Develop and prepare contract documents.
• Technical Proposal Development:

• Prepare technical proposals with deviations and technical clarifications based on customer specifications.
• Engineering Design and Analysis:

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
• Preliminary checking of drawings submitted by fabricators.
• Preparation of mechanical data sheets and design (Compress/PVelite) for pressure vessels.
• Collaboration and Coordination:

• Assist drafters in developing structural designs using drafting tools, computer-assisted design (CAD), or drafting equipment and software.
• Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems or needs.
• Follow up with vendors for various bought-out items.
• Quality Assurance and Documentation:

• Inspect and follow up on construction at the fabricator\'s shop.
• Act as the frontline supervisor for all products.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements.
• Supervise fabrication jobs at the fabricator\'s shop for the system.
• Take responsibility for complete documentation of additional systems.
• Logistics and Inventory Management:

• Pack loaders and controllers for dispatch.
• Monitor in-house inventory movement.
• Team Management and Training:

• Supervise or train project team members as necessary.
• Vendor Management:

• Locate vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales.
• Monitor purchase requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
• Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs.
• Use knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts.
• Technical Expertise:

• Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
• Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
• Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards.
