Job Title: Manufacturing Data & OT Systems Expert

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Data & OT Systems Expert to join our growing consulting practice. This individual will act as a bridge between manufacturing customers and our internal data engineering, data analytics, and data science teams. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in operational technology (OT) systems, with hands-on experience working with SCADA systems, IoT sensors, and other telemetry data sources in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary liaison between manufacturing clients and internal technical teams. Translate operational requirements and pain points into data-driven solutions. Analyze and model OT data from SCADA systems, PLCs, IoT sensors, and other telemetry sources. Work with data engineers to design and implement pipelines for ingesting and transforming raw sensor and control system data. Collaborate with analytics and data science teams to derive insights and build predictive models using time-series and machine data. Provide guidance on the integration of OT data with cloud-based data lakes and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, AWS, GCP). Lead client workshops and discovery sessions to map OT data flows and define data architecture requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial data environment. Deep understanding of SCADA systems, PLCs, MES, DCS, and industrial IoT (IIoT) ecosystems. Experience working with time-series and telemetry data from sensors and control systems. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT). Strong experience with data modeling and transforming OT data for analytics use. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data warehouses (preferably Snowflake). Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with both business and technical stakeholders. Experience supporting cross-functional data teams and managing client engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in engineering, computer science, or industrial automation. Experience with streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming, Azure Event Hub). Familiarity with asset performance management (APM) or digital twin technologies. * Consulting experience is a plus.
