Overview:

Manual Transmission Internal Shifting system, Forks - Design and development

Location: Hosur

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

o Design and develop Internal gear shifting systems and fork mechanisms.


o Providing robust solutions for the failures/issues by strong Problem-solving skills, Root cause Analysis and


Decision making.


o Presenting technical Decks to the management and CFT, with Strong communication skills.


o Co-ordinate for Validations and Testing.


o To release the prototype & production intent designs in PLM Innovia / Teamcenter, complying the best


practices, Function, assembly requirements and as well as serviceability requirements.


o To participate in VAVE Workshop and ensure to meet cost targets.


o Apprehend FEA simulation results and suggest for improvements in the designs.


o To be able to execute the global localization/product design and development activities for subsystem from


RFQ phase till the SOP.


o Monitor APQP, PPAP practices and Engineering change management


o Should be able to validate the component specifications during each project phase.


o To support the program team to achieve milestones in terms of "best cost" and "on time" deliverables.


o To communicate the design risks, related changes and impacts to all cross functional teams like purchasing,


quality, project, manufacturing etc.


o To participate in supplier technical reviews along with different cross-functional teams.


o Perform Design calculations.
Qualifications:

Bachelor / Master Degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering Discipline.
Essential skills:

Requirements:

o Graduate degree in mechanical/automotive engineering Discipline.


o System knowledge focussing on manual transmission shifting system, forks.


o 5~8 years of experience in Manual Transmission design and development.


o Strong Process knowledge of Casting, Stamping, Forging, Machining, injection Moulding.


o Should have good knowledge on materials and heat treatment process.


o Should have Sound knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes.


o Hands on experience in tools like CATIA/Nx.


o Strong Problem-solving skills.


o Excellent presentation Skills.


o PLM tools experience - Innovia / team Center


o Interpersonal Skills


o Willingness to travel to supplier places within India
