SDET with 3-7 years experience in automation and testing for web, API, and backend systems. Collaborates with developers and bilingual teams to ensure quality and performance of high-volume payment applications. Strong programming, automation, and quality engineering skills; exposure to both manual and automated testing.

Responsibilities

Develop/maintain automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright).

Perform manual, regression, and Japanese localization testing.

Automate API tests (Postman) and conduct performance tests (JMeter).

Partner with developers/BAs on shift-left practices and defect prevention.

Create test data, mocks, and stubs.

Write secure, maintainable test code; review via Git.

Analyze defects, improve coverage/stability.

Validate databases (SQL/NoSQL), schemas, and server health (Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, WebSphere).

Key Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's in CS/Engineering or related.

Strong coding in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

Solid API and database testing knowledge.

Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

Fintech/payments experience

Performance/security testing expertise

Japanese reading/writing

Experience in multicultural/distributed teams.
