Overview

We are seeking a fresher Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing automated testing solutions to ensure the quality and performance of our software applications. This role requires a strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance (QA/QC) processes, along with proficiency in various programming languages and testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, and JUnit. Conduct functional, system, performance, and user acceptance testing for web and mobile applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into test cases. Perform root cause analysis on defects and work closely with development teams to resolve issues. Implement continuous integration (CI/CD) practices using tools like Jenkins or GitLab. Utilize data analysis skills to evaluate test results and provide actionable insights. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to the overall improvement of the testing process. Maintain documentation related to test plans, test cases, and testing procedures.

Qualifications

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript. Experience with automation frameworks including Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services testing. Knowledge of database management systems like MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle. Understanding of version control systems such as Git or SVN. Experience in mobile testing for Android and iOS platforms is a plus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot software issues effectively. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Docker or AWS is advantageous.
