Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and control forging manipulators to handle heated billets, ingots, and forgings safely and accurately. Assist in aligning workpieces on hammers, presses, or rolling mills. Coordinate closely with the forge press/hammers operator and support team to ensure smooth workflow. Conduct pre-start checks and routine maintenance of the manipulator equipment. Monitor and adjust manipulator movements to accommodate different sizes and shapes of metal parts. Ensure accurate placement of parts for efficient forging and reduce material waste. Follow safety protocols strictly and report any mechanical or safety issues promptly. Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Keep accurate logs of operations, parts handled, and maintenance checks.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum 2 years of experience operating forging manipulators or similar heavy equipment in an industrial setting. Familiarity with forging processes and metal properties under heat. Ability to read and understand job orders, technical drawings, and measurements. Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to safety and detail. Physically fit and capable of working in high-temperature environments. Ability to work in rotating shifts, including nights and weekends if required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in heavy equipment operation or industrial machinery. Previous experience in a forging or steel plant. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to heat, noise, and heavy machinery. Requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, face shields, and heat-resistant clothing. Standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.
