Job Purpose
To lead and manage the entire fabric procurement cycle, from yarn to finished fabric, for a
textile export business that outsources all operations. The role involves overseeing
sourcing, quality control, vendor management, and process coordination for greige,
processed, and finished fabrics (specifically for bed linen) while ensuring timely delivery
and adherence to quality and cost standards.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibility Area Description
Fabric Sourcing & Procurement Identify and manage vendors for greige,
dyed, printed, and finished fabric. Develop
reliable sources, negotiate terms, and
forecast requirements.
Technical Expertise & Fabric Knowledge Deep knowledge of yarn, fabric
construction, and finishes. Assess fabric
quality parameters, oversee lab dips, and
pre-production samples.
Vendor & Process Management Liaise with mills and process houses,
monitor timelines, ensure quality, and
resolve production issues.
Order & Process Management Manage end-to-end fabric orders,
coordinate with teams, and meet export
deadlines.
Team Leadership Build and mentor a team, develop skills,
and promote accountability.
Reporting & Coordination Maintain MIS reports, vendor records, and
update management regularly.
Travel & Autonomy Independently travel for audits and
approvals, work proactively without
frequent permissions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Textile Engineering or similar domain.
- 10-15 years of experience in textile/fabric procurement, preferably in exports.
- Strong technical knowledge from yarn to finished fabric.
- Exposure to home textiles (especially bed sheets).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, procurement software, and ERP systems.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ?60,000.00 - ?80,000.00 per month
