Job Objective: The purpose of the Managing Principal Consultant is to Technically lead and Manage the team for Consulting & Deployment activities for Oracle Communications products and lead the highly motivated team of Solution Architects and deployment consultants that work on complex solutions using the Oracle Communications Session Delivery Products like SBC, SR, SDM, OCOM, EOM, SD-WAN, OCCAS, CnOCCAS, OCSS, etc. in order to solve the issues and ensure a professional and high quality work. The role involves tasks such as Mentoring the team of Solution architects & Deployment Consultants, Implementation, Testing, Project support, internal client handling, coordination with Support, PLM, Engineering, License teams. The position requires having a very good knowledge and skills on Cloud Native Architecture including Docker and Kubernetes as Architect, SIP Protocol, Oracle Communications Session Products such as OCCAS, CnOCCAS, SBC, OCOM, EOM, SD-WAN, etc, Baremetal, Cloud, Virtualized deployment methods.
: Reporting to Consulting Practice Manager (CGBU) \xe2\x80\x93Key responsibilities include :-
  • Technical Management of Skilled Session Product Architects and Consultants for Global Projects Deliveries
  • Manage the Billable Utilization and Timesheets for the direct reports
  • Manage the Performance Appraisals
  • Team Training and Skills Development
  • Provide trainings to the customer
  • Strong experience on SIP, Call Flows, Cloud Native Environment, Cloud Infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience on Deployment Projects for Session Products, Developing Solution, HLDs/LLDs
  • Technical Project Management and guide the team for the Project deliverables.
  • Assist in the sales cycle to understand size and scope customer requirements for complex service implementation of Oracle products including capacity analysis, database sizing requirements, special feature implementation, etc.
  • Work on underlying infrastructure ranging from Bare metal, Virtualized or Cloud based deployments.
  • Experience in Cloud Native Environment for deployment of OCCAS, OCSBCs.
  • Create deliverables such as Proposal, Effort Estimation, Profitability analysis, collateral creation, solution demo, PoC, RFP responses, HLD, Scope, MoPs, Acceptance Test Plans, SAED, NAPD, LLD etc.
  • Provide support to the team for specialized activities but not limited to system installation, upgrades/ downgrade, system migrations, cutovers, provisioning solutions, feature activation, custom scripts creation, scaling,.
  • Work with customers to ensure technical compatibility with third party products required for "turnkey" network implementations.
  • Effectively communicate and work with the internal and external customers in a multiple project environment.
  • Perform the duties assigned by management effectively and most efficiently to meet organizational goals.
  • Should be able to conduct Special internal and customer workshop when not covered by Training department.
  • Should be ready to travel on short notices when needed.
  • Attend emergency calls 24/7 to support and evaluate operational problems and issues, analyze, and perform workaround or solution on short-term proposals.
Qualification, Experience, Communication and Inter-personal skills desired:
  • BS/ B.Tech in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent plus a minimum of 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a technical work environment.
  • Minimum 3+ years in Managing the team of consultants for the Solution Integration , managed Appraisals, Performance Reviews , Managing Conflicts
  • Working Experience of other key products such as SBC, SR, OCCAS, SD-WAN, OCOM, EOM along with in depth knowledge on SIP.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills in English is required. Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate work status, risks and issues.
  • Experience with solution design, customer presentations, system installations, upgrades, feature testing.
  • Must have experience of working on Complex telecom projects in both Bare metal and Cloud environment.
  • Should be well conversant with cloud concepts including IaaS, PaaS, VMs, VNF, VNFM, Heat Templates, Containers, CNE, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
  • Must have experience in creating project technical document like SAED/NAPD/HLD/LLD/ATP/SOW/ATPs.
  • Knowledge and experience with UNIX/Linux/Solaris would be a plus.

Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Ensure that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements. Responsible for operational metrics and overall business results for area of responsibility. Provides coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members. Typically manages individual contributors. Demonstrates multiple business process expertise within one product family or technology solutions architect and design expertise for one technology product and understand cross stack impacts.
