The Boeing Company is looking for a Managing Director for Boeing Defense India. This Director of Boeing Defense India Program Manager is setto join the team located in New Delhi , India. Boeing Defence India (BDI) was established in India in 2017 to further develop on-shore capabilities to provide improved customer support, responsiveness and value for money for The Customer, the Indian Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the Indian Armed Forces. BDI has headquarters in New Delhi, and 90 personnel located at over multiple locations within India at both customer and supplier locations with significant growth forecast. The main projects / platforms managed by BDI include: P-8I sustainment and Training programs C-17GISP and Training programs AH-64E Apache -47 CH-47 Chinook Rotorcraft training programs in future Position Responsibilities: Drives the development of the BDI business objectives and strategies and is responsible for ensuring the success of the BDI business through flawless execution of customer facing contracts and capture of growth opportunities to build a sustainable business base. Responsible for managing the Profit and Loss of the Boeing Defense India business entity, in a way that aligns with the strategic direction of BGS, BDS and BGS-GS business units. Form part of the BGS-GS - Asia Pacific Leadership Team and will also play a pivotal role in supporting continued regional expansion of Boeing\'s business interests. Primary point of escalation for customer communication, and will have significant external facing responsibilities. Integrate across Boeing and other business entities in the Asia Pacific region to ensure that the best of Boeing is applied to all business activities. This position makes decisions that have high impact to both the external customer community and internal/external Boeing stakeholders. Decisions impact financial performance, program execution and customer satisfaction. This leader is responsible for ensuring the execution of contractual requirement to customers. Should the team/ company not perform on contractual commitments there may be negative impacts to the customer relationship and possibly incurred liabilities. Due to the large business base both current and projected, executions and financial decisions made by this leader can have a material impact to the overall BGS Government Services organization\'s ability to meet our internal and external financial commitments. This position has adirect interface to the commanding officersat foreign military bases inIndia. The PM actively maintains the relationships needed with major subcontractors/ Partners. Leaderwill be a member of both the BGS Government Services Leadership Team and works cross functionally with BGS leaders at the VP and Director levels. The leader interfaces across other BGS and BDS programs/ functions as well as BDI entity leaders to coordinate the best possible solutions for the multiple customers of these post production platforms. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 15 + years of total experience with at least 8+ years of experience from aviation or defence background. Minimum of a Bachelor\'s Degree. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to engage at multiple levels both internally and externally to the company. Excellent business acumen, and preferably demonstrated experience in running a profit and loss business, internally or externally to Boeing. Demonstrated leadership qualities, an ability to inspire, drive and lead a team across multiple sites and demographics. Well-developed communication skills at an executive level and an ability to clearly, concisely and effectively develop and communicate strategic intent. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): An understanding and appreciation of Indian cultural norms, and particularly an ability to interact successfully with Indian Defense force customer representatives. Masters degree in management is preferred. Experience leading in a global, matrixed environment with multiple portfolios. Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
