Job Description


The Distinguished Security Architect will design, validate, and guide implementation of security and privacy solutions in TIAA\'s ecosystem. The role is expected to: define problems & deliver highly innovative solutions that lead to significant differentiation in the industry, translate customer needs into architectural, technical & strategic direction, and help to determine objectives & long-range goals of the Security organization. Leaders in this role will help reduce risk, threats, and vulnerabilities in TIAA\'s ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • In partnership with the enterprise Architecture function, help guide Security Architectural Patterns that could be used within TIAA\xe2\x80\x99s ecosystem.
  • Ensure that Security Policies and Standards translate to actual implementations and are aligned with the US National Institute Standards and Technology (NIST) Cyber Security Framework.
  • Collaborate between multiple business units and development groups to ensure robust, secure service posture from design to implementation in multiple products and online services across the enterprise.
  • Serve as a technical resource across multiple security domains for the company.
  • Provide hands-on security engineering expertise across a wide variety of platforms.
  • Provide strategic and tactical expertise in orchestrating, securing, deploying solutions; and in defining relative architectures.
  • Develops and cascades strategy throughout the organization in line with TIAA\xe2\x80\x99s mission and strategic intent.
  • Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation and development of team.

Base Pay Range: $174,700/yr. - $291,100/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
