Major Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the procurement process for the manufacturing
plant having foundry, casting, and machine manufacturing.
Ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services essential for our
manufacturing operations.
Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with the company's operational objectives
and budgetary constraints.
Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and
negotiate favorable terms and agreements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply
chain.
Evaluate supplier performance regularly, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective
actions as necessary.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of raw materials, components, and finished goods
to support production schedules.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess inventory and reduce carrying costs while
ensuring continuity of supply.
Analyze procurement data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency
improvements.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes, reduce costs, and improve
overall profitability.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing procurement
activities.
Assess and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process, including supply chain disruptions,
quality issues, and supplier dependencies.
Candidate Profile
Should have done B.E./B. Tech with MBA or MBA with specialization in supply chain management
Minimum relevant experience of 9 years in similar industry
Proven experience 9 years in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the
manufacturing industry, with a focus on metals, machinery, consumables, admin, EHS related materials.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and
internal stakeholders.
Solid understanding of procurement best practices, inventory management principles, and supply chain
dynamics.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
