Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Should be cost estimations for Forging, Gears & Shaft, Casting & Machining, for new developments and design changes. Able to identify and make detail estimates for the Toolings for the part. Part cost estimations to be done at different stages of the project- initial business case, target cost setting. Should be well versed with all related manufacturing processes, GD&T and able to select as per drawing requirements. Study of cost drivers to optimize the cost through various alternative process, analysis, and close gaps vs targets at actualization. Identify areas of cost reduction through design iteration to achieve the cost optimization at design stage itself. Study new & existing manufacturing processes at supplier end to prepare Costing guidelines & std estimation Templates. Collaborative working to Drive & follow Design to Cost culture in the organization.

12-15 years of relevant experience from Automotive, Tractor & Auto Ancillary.

Costing of Casting, Machining & Tooling components.
