The Technical Sales Manager will play a critical role in supporting the MTL Sales Leader to activate, accelerate, and amplify end-user engagement by promoting the MTL product range. This individual will serve as a technical expert, solution advisor, and trusted partner to the broader MTL sales team, end-users, consultants, and EPC contractors across a variety of industries including Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Marine, Pharmaceutical, Paints & Coatings, and Diversified Industrial Segments.This role will be pivotal in driving specifications, technical adoption, and solution-fitment of the MTL product portfolio at the early stages of the customer lifecycle and will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to build deep technical preference for MTL solutions.
+ Act as the primary technical authority on MTL products (including signal conditioners, surge protection devices, fieldbus infrastructure, HMI/visualization systems, and barriers).
+ Provide frontline technical consulting to the sales team, helping develop customized solutions that meet customer requirements and industry safety standards.
+ Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to shape the right product strategies for complex projects and non-standard requests.
+ Create and maintain solution blueprints, application notes, system architecture diagrams, and sizing guides
+ Drive the adoption of MTL solutions by demonstrating total cost of ownership (TCO) benefits, reliability, safety, and compliance advantages.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering (required); Master's degree is a plus.
8-12 years of experience in technical sales, solution engineering, or application engineering in the industrial automation, instrumentation, or hazardous area equipment domain.
Strong exposure to hazardous area equipment, intrinsically safe systems, signal conditioning, process control interfaces, or related technologies.
Proven ability to engage and influence technical decision-makers in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Marine, Chemical, and similar industries.
Familiarity with ATEX, IECEx, SIL, and other applicable industry standards.
Skills:

Exposure to control systems (DCS/PLC) integration.
Knowledge of hazardous area classification and wiring practices.
Prior experience with MTL or similar competing brands is a strong advantage
