Job Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems and procedures in accordance with automotive industry standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, etc.). This role ensures product quality, reduces defects, manages audits, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description/Role & responsibilities

Develop and implement quality management systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant automotive standards. Lead internal and external audits, including customer and third-party audits. Manage the QA/QC team and oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection processes. Handle customer complaints, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Coordinate with production, design, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues. Monitor key quality KPIs like rejection rates, PPM levels, and cost of poor quality (COPQ). Supplier quality management - approve vendors, conduct audits, and ensure incoming quality. Lead FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, and MSA activities. Promote a culture of continuous improvement through Kaizen, 5S, and Lean Six Sigma tools. Prepare quality documentation and reports for management and clients.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in mechanical / Automobile / Industrial Engineering or related field.

16+ years of experience in quality management in the automotive industry. Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MS. Experience with problem-solving tools: 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, etc. Proficient in MS Office, Minitab, or other quality-related software. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Auditing certifications (internal auditor for IATF 16949) preferred.

Education: -

UG: B. Tech/B.E. in Mechanical engineering.

Salary & Benefits: INR :- 12 LPA TO 15 LPA.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
