Job Description

Develop and execute strategic purchasing plans aligned with company goals. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers for quality materials at competitive prices. Oversee procurement of raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and capital goods. Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production schedules. Collaborate with production, maintenance, and finance departments for smooth coordination. Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance. Implement cost-saving measures and continuous process improvements. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and statutory requirements. Prepare and present purchase reports and MIS for management review.

Candidate Requirements:

Qualification:

Graduate / Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical / Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum

15 years

of relevant experience in purchase,

preferably in the steel manufacturing sector

.
